1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

• "Service" refers to watch repair, restoration, and related services provided by Luminos.
• "Client" or "You" refers to the individual or entity using our services.
• "We," "Us," or "Our" refers to Luminos, the watch repair service provider.
• "Timepiece" refers to any watch or clock submitted for service.
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any service order or estimate.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a timepiece for service, requesting an evaluation, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into this agreement. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age and have the capacity to enter into a binding contract.

3. Service Description

Luminos provides professional watch repair and restoration services, including but not limited to:

• Lume assessment and renewal
• Movement overhaul and caliber servicing
• Complete restoration of dormant timepieces
• Case sealing and water resistance testing
• Regulation and timing adjustments

Service availability is subject to our assessment of the timepiece's condition and our current capabilities. We reserve the right to decline service on any timepiece at our discretion.

4. Evaluation Process

Initial evaluations are provided without charge. During evaluation, we will:

• Assess the timepiece's current condition
• Identify necessary repairs or restoration work
• Provide an estimate of costs and timeline
• Discuss options and recommendations

The evaluation estimate is valid for thirty days. Work will not commence without your explicit approval of the estimate and timeline.

5. Client Responsibilities

Ownership and Authorization

By submitting a timepiece for service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the legal owner of the timepiece or have proper authorization to submit it for service
• The timepiece was legally acquired and is not stolen property
• All information provided about the timepiece is accurate and complete

Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate contact information and promptly update us of any changes. We are not responsible for delays or inability to contact you due to outdated information.

6. Service Terms and Timeline

Service timelines are estimates based on typical completion periods:

• Lume Assessment and Renewal: 1-2 weeks
• Night-Watch Caliber Service: 3-4 weeks
• Dark Room Restoration: 6-12 weeks

Actual timelines may vary based on the specific condition of your timepiece, parts availability, and our current workload. We will inform you of any significant delays.

If unforeseen issues are discovered during service that require additional work beyond the original estimate, we will contact you for approval before proceeding.

7. Payment Terms

Pricing and Fees

Service fees are determined after evaluation and communicated clearly before work begins. All prices are in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) unless otherwise stated.

Standard service fees include labor, basic components (gaskets, lubricants), and documentation. Specialized parts or materials beyond standard components will be quoted separately.

Payment Methods

We accept cash and bank transfer. Payment is due upon completion of service before the timepiece is released back to you.

Additional Charges

If you approve additional work beyond the original estimate, supplementary charges will apply. We will provide a revised estimate before proceeding with additional work.

8. Warranty and Service Guarantee

We provide a six-month warranty on labor for serviced movements, covering defects in workmanship under normal wearing conditions. This warranty covers:

• Movement functionality and timekeeping within reasonable specifications
• Water resistance (if applicable and tested)
• Lume application quality and adhesion

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage from misuse, accidents, or impacts
• Unauthorized repairs or modifications by third parties
• Natural wear and aging of components
• Water damage if water resistance was not specifically tested and guaranteed
• Cosmetic elements such as case, crystal, or bracelet wear

9. Disclaimers

Services are provided "as is" based on our professional assessment. While we exercise care and skill in all work:

• We cannot guarantee specific timekeeping accuracy for vintage movements beyond their original design specifications
• Aging components may have limited remaining service life
• Some issues may not be apparent until disassembly and inspection
• Cosmetic restoration results may vary based on original condition

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or wear that becomes apparent during service.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of use, profit, or sentimental value
• Damage occurring during shipping if you arranged transport
• Delays due to parts availability or unforeseen complications

This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by Taiwan law.

11. Unclaimed Property

Timepieces left unclaimed for ninety days after service completion will be considered abandoned. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the information provided.

After ninety days, storage fees of NT$200 per month will apply. After six months of no contact, we reserve the right to dispose of unclaimed timepieces in accordance with Taiwan law.

12. Intellectual Property

All service documentation, timing profiles, and technical records remain our intellectual property, though copies are provided to you for reference.

Photographs of timepieces may be taken for service records. We will not use these images for marketing without your explicit consent.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement before work begins. Once work has commenced:

• You may cancel service but will be charged for work completed to that point
• We may terminate service if significant issues are discovered that make completion inadvisable

Upon termination, the timepiece will be returned in its current state after settlement of charges for completed work.

14. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.

Informal Resolution

Before pursuing formal dispute resolution, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any concerns. Most issues can be addressed through open communication.

15. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any service estimate or order, constitute the entire agreement between you and Luminos regarding our services.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under this agreement. We may assign our rights and obligations with advance notice to you.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

For services already in progress, the terms in effect at the time of service commencement will apply.
